You will find here photos of Wichtell dolls that belong to my collection, travelling in France.

Valentine in front of Notre-Dame.

Valentine wanted a photo in front of the Eiffel Tower, of course !

At Pčre Lachaise Cemetery.

In front of the Pantheon. It was built between 1764 and 1790 and is now used to bury famous French citizens such as Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Marie Curie, Louis Braille, Jean Monnet and Alejandro Dumas.

Fascinated by Foucault's pendulum, inside the Pantheon.

We visited the Barbie exhibition at the Museum of Decorative Arts. Here, Valentine posing with Barbie dolls under glass.

Amused by Barbie diving.

Valentine inside the Palace of Versailles. As always, I made also her costume and all the outfits used by Valentine and Riki during the trip.

Valentine a the the Hamlet of the Queen. Marie-Antoinette loved this place where she could return to the pleasures of simple, rural pursuits, away from the pomp of Versailles.

Valentine and Riki, at the Hamlet of the Queen.

Valentine in front of the Meuse river.

Amused by a motorcycle, just her size !

2016 was the centenary of the Battle of Verdun (WWI), we visited the battlefields and exhibitions on the theme. I had made a nurse costume for Valentine but I did not take many pictures, I think that my smiling doll was not very appropriate for the "hell of Verdun" as it was called. Here is one anyway, just to show you the costume. I made it inspired in a pattern designed for another doll, Bleuette, in 1916.

Metz is the capital of the Loraine region. Here, Valentine wearing the folk costume of Loraine.

Posing in front of a beaufiful door.

Inside the cathedral.
